My Students

Located in a rural-fringe area, my students are made up of a group of kids who have diverse abilities, interests, backgrounds and upbringings. They are a collective group of dynamic personalities with a zest to learn and do their best.

STEM allows my students an opportunity to develop their critical thinking skills.

It provides the variety they seek on a day-to-day, moment-to-moment basis. Keeping them involved helps them to develop a foundation for developing an understanding of what science is and how technology, math and engineering relate.

My Project

The STEM Technologies class allows students to take charge of their learning. They are frequently assigned how-to or demonstration videos that guide them through the curriculum and bolster their learning.

It gets noisy and distracting when students are working on several different projects in a classroom that was originally built for a choir.

Being able to connect to their Chromebooks, or the computers in the classroom will allow them to watch videos and complete assignments without the distraction of other students who may be on a different step of the learning process.
