My students need a MacBook to research and create a newscast.

My school is located in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn. Many of the students come from a low socioeconomic background. The students pride themselves on being from Coney Island, and the school that they attend. My students are full of energy and are serious about their work.
My students are eager to learn and are always up for a new challenge.
My goal is to create a group of independent learners. I want to teach them applied learning skills to enhance their academics; and to help them shed positive light on their school and community.
My students have a desire to tell a positive story. My students' school is located in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn. The students are accustomed to seeing and hearing the negative about their community. The students are in need of a macbook pro in order to create successful newscasts for 288 Eagles News. This project based learning opportunity would allow the students to learn how to research, write, and edit to produce a newscast. By donating to our project, you are not only helping the students' succeed academically, but you will be giving them opportunities to work towards career readiness.
