My students need a variety of books as we get into studying characters this year. Having a collection of books of different levels, genres, and series will allow students to stay engaged and eager in their reading.
My students are some of the most creative and talented individuals I have ever met. They are eager to do their best and take initiative in their learning. This year I am excited to explore our ELA and Social Studies Units and let our lessons come alive in our classroom.
My students truly care about their learning and need the books to aid them in taking their learning to the next level.
Having 48 students in a very old classroom with a new teacher we do not have the books that will provide each student with exciting choices or texts to follow our units. With these books it will allow every student to feel excited about reading!
My Project
My students have just transitioned into the middle school where we are currently studying the characters in the books that they choose. My library as a new 6th grade teacher has very limited options, which is difficult having 48 students at different levels and having a variety of interests. I am hoping to provide all my students with a variety of books that they deserve. We need a collection of books of different levels, genres, and series will allow students to stay engaged and eager in their reading. Our titles include Harry Potter, Dogman, Champion, Legend and many more.
My class has a passion for reading and they are eager to get into new books.
