My Students
Imagine being so in love with reading chapter books, but you have to share the same book with others while your reading it.
My students attend a public school in California.
There are 15 boys and 9 girls. They come from low income homes and all students receive free lunch. They are very eager learners, who constantly want to learn more. They especially love to read and are often caught reading during recess, lunch, and even while waiting in line.
My Project
My students are all at and above grade level, but our classroom library is not very challenging. These chapter books will challenge them and spark their curiosity. Freckle Juice, Kids of the Polk Street School and The Magic School Bus Science Chapter Books will be good models of the traits of writing. They will help students to have exposure to many varieties of good writing.
Your donation will make a difference in my students' education by providing them with great literature that will inspire them to be our future authors, use their imagination, and continue their love of reading.
