My 6th students are a diverse group with many different learning styles and interests. This is their first year of middle school, a time full of change and growth. They need an opportunity to explore their interests at their own level while constantly striving to learn more and grow.
Working with 6th grade students is a unique opportunity to get to know children as they become young adults.
Our 6th grade team allows students work work closely with two primary teachers and allows us to really get to know them and their unique personalities and to mold our curriculum to best fit their needs!
My Project
This materials will give each student an opportunity to find multiple ideal "just right" reading book. It's always a challenge to keep my classroom library stocked with books that will meet each student's individual reading level AND interest. These books will allow students to find that perfect book for them and help foster a life-long love of reading.
Students need books that they love in order to love reading, this project aims to provide them with just that.
In this project are several genres, reading levels, and topics that will help readers from all different backgrounds and with all different skills find their perfect match.
