This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Teachers who love teaching, teach children who love learning." As I enter my twentieth year of teaching, I continue to follow this mantra in my classroom. I teach twenty-eight, wonderful students who come from poverty. My students are from varying ethnic backgrounds. Most of them come from homes that are struggling financially.

My students are extremely motivated and they are genuinely respectful of each other.

They are lovers of learning and I am truly grateful to be their teacher this year. They come to school with smiles on their faces and they are eager to learn. We need new books to use in our literacy centers.

My Project

Each child in my classroom is an artist. The days are cold and dreary in the winter time in Chicago. My students and I need fun art supplies to use during our indoor recess time. These dot markers are water-based markers that are easy to set up and use. These markers have bold pigments and bright colors that dry very fast. The students will be able to create works of art using these markers. The markers come in a variety of colors. The students will be able to create pictures of rainbows, animals, buildings, flowers, and lots of other fun things.

These markers will spark creativity in my students and make our indoor recess fun.
