Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much," is a quote from Helen Keller.
My preschool students are amazing, energetic, fun, and lovely children who have the drive to learn.
They are like sponges absorbing all the information they can receive from me or anyone who presents to them.
Many of my children are Spanish speaking with English as a second language and many of the parents are only Spanish speaking.
Upon returning to school, the students will be ready to learn with their friends. They are excited to be surrounded in a safe, healthy, comfortable, and educational learning environment.
I see them engage in our distance learning classroom full of life, ready to learn and excited for what is in store for them that day. I feel honored to have the responsibility to teach these amazing preschoolers and hope to enrich their educational experience.
My Project
My amazing preschool students have been extremely patient and attentive as I maneuver a computer which disconnects during online learning. With the use of an iPad I can connect my computer and iPad together in order to create videos, use online whiteboards and communicate digitally with each student and their families.
The iPad and stylus will enable students/families to interact and engage with a digital whiteboard during virtual and hybrid learning .
The lesson on the iPad will appear on their screen, as I am writing and drawing to help engage students learning. Once we eagerly return to school, the iPad and stylus can be used in small group learning. Students and parents will engage with the iPad as they navigate our Microsoft TEAMS educational platform.
