My students are a blend of eager to learn 9th-12th grade young artists who plan a future in the arts. They are young artists who simply enjoy creating and inventing. Students when engaged, dive into what's being taught, when they can "see" what I "say."
Imagine drawing artwork and you can tell something's off, but you can't quite put your finger on it. Imagine also your teacher explaining virtually how to improve your artwork, but you can't "see" what he is "saying" because there is no direct hands-on instruction. The Apple iPad and Apple Pencil will allow me to "show" what I'm "saying." When students submit their designs, I can capture the image using the iPad. During my explanation, I can perform a demonstration in real time; drawing on top of their images to show them where lines should lead for realism and where lines, colors, and shapes could go for expression.
