My students with special needs are my family! We live in a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where many students receive free/reduced lunches and weekend backpacks filled with food.
In our classroom, we are all connected and we choose to be kind!
As a class of many diverse and special needs, we work hard on our literacy, math, science and social studies skills. We help each other and we look forward to what the future holds for us!
My students in my special education math class struggle with basic math skills. These students are generally at least 3 grade levels behind their same-age peers.
DynaMath magazines will provide my students with leveled articles to promote critical thinking and real-world math problems.
DynaMath supports math standards at both the state and national levels. Plus, short nonfiction texts and language arts skills sheets help students incorporate literacy skills in the math classroom. Targeted differentiation tools make math accessible for all learners.
My students would love to improve their math skills by utilizing these short articles with real-world mathematical problems that spark their curiosity, thus their desire to learn.
