My Students

My class consists of approximately 20% girls and 80% boys. They are mostly from Hispanic and Black ethnic groups and lower-income communities. There is a zeal for learning despite the circumstances that they are faced with. Some have emotional, social, and/or academic circumstances that are limiting. The ESL and students with special academic needs receive services in order to assist them in the learning process.

These students need to be prepared to compete in an ever-changing​ world that is technology-driven and requires individuals who can represent any organization with dignity.

They want to be successful and are challenged to be successful.

My Project

I enjoy seeing my students' smiles and hearing their laughter at recess. Having endured two years with the Covid-19 virus, my resilient students continue to work earnestly towards their academic goals. Socially, my students are still adjusting to working as a team.

These basketball goals will help to enhance social emotional learning, and teamwork among my wonderful students.

My boys and girls enjoy playing basketball at recess and their skills are truly amazing. I can only imagine the delight they will experience when they are gifted with a pair of basketball goals to use at recess.
