Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

I am a physical education teacher at two elementary schools in rural North Carolina. I want my students to learn the rules of flag football. The problem is, I need the flag belts and some footballs to instruct my students. I really enjoy instructing students about sports during that sport's professional season. Now that it is NFL Monday Night Football time, my students will be able to integrate information from the score boxes in the newspaper and write journal stories about their favorite professional football players and their personal best performance during class time. I make sure that during flag football the boys understand that they can not leave the girls out of the game. In fact a boy touchdown equals 6 points, but a girl touchdown equals 9 points! You should see the boys scrambling to get the ball to a girl on third and fourth downs. Please help my encourage my students in their overwhelming love of football. Anything that I can do to motivate my students to be active for a full thirty minutes is an incredible accomplishment. Please share my goal and fund this proposal.
