My Students

Welcome to our elementary school! We are a small town suburb of Houston, TX with this vision statement: "Together we build our future in a friendly place to live, work, play, learn and worship." I have the pleasure of teaching first grade on the best team in the best school. As with most first grade classrooms, all who enter come with a special set of strengths and needs. We strive every day to make sure their learning environment is safe, loving, and, of course, rigorous. It is our goal to develop the whole child with a challenging curriculum that integrates character development in all we do.

My Project

My class would like to hatch chick and duck eggs as part of an upcoming life cycle unit in science. We need an incubator along with chick feeding and heating accessories.

My students are eager and enthusiastic scientists!

They love learning science content through hands-on ways. What better way to discover life cycles than by witnessing and observing them first hand?

Our current hatching supplies have been used for over 10 years and needs to be replaced.

We will be observing, measuring, hypothesizing, and experimenting with chicken and duck eggs as part of a science unit in the spring.
