Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students have applied to come to our school because they want to push themselves and earn certifications as well as their high school diploma. Our students are unlike other high school students, they are driven and passionate about their futures.
Being able to support and encourage these students their senior year has been so rewarding.
These students have taught me so much about myself and I am so incredibly excited to see them succeed in what ever their future holds.
My Project
Students who receive these prizes will have one less thing to worry about as they head into the next chapter of their life.
These prizes will be raffled off at our seniors Decision Day, getting them excited for their next step.
New backpacks will represent their new chapter they have started. A printer will help students print out their notes and homework without having to rush to the library before class. A number of classes in college can require a calculator. This is something students are used to being given in high school and they may not have ever needed to purchase a calculator before now.
