My students don't have much in the way of manipulatives or supplies, but they are full of love, curiosity, and energy! Our school serves a Marine Corp base, with 75% of our student body being active military children. The needs of my students are far greater than I can meet on my own. Our school and district try, but there is just not enough to go around. We rely on the donations of those in our community to fill in the gaps.
The world our students are living in is ever-changing and scary at times.
There is a huge need for social and emotional learning in our classrooms. I am blessed to be able to call this class mine and love watching their little minds grow and expand. I can't wait to see how they grow and develop!
My Project
I am a virtual kindergarten teacher teaching students remotely for the entire school year. I Zoom seven to eight times a day with my students, often sharing my screen to maximize our learning!
Having dual screens will maximize my ability to share with my students; sharing their work, recorded videos, projecting from my document camera, and bringing our Zoom sessions to life!
Dual screens will make my screen time, planning, and creating more efficient, allowing more time to engage with my students and teach kindergarten skills so desperately needed, especially virtually!
