Dry Erase Tables for Math Fun Part 2

Help me give my students dry erase tables so that they may collaborate together. Allowing students to do mathematics on tabletops seems to be a huge motivator for them to want to do mathematics.

My Students

My students are 3rd-5th-grade special education students in Southeast Missouri. I currently teach 3rd-5th-grade developmental mathematics and 5th-grade resource for students with an IEP. My students have various learning styles and trying to meet the needs of each individual requires extra resources. My students have the ability to achieve great things and learn, but due to their various learning styles and needs, often my students require a different approach to learning, and may require a different learning strategy along the way to success.

My Project

I currently teach 3rd-5th-grade special education math. From a previous project, I have three white board tables where students can do their work with dry erase markers which has made it more exciting and fun for them. However, within the past two years, my class sizes have tremendously grown, and I am in need of more tables so all of my students can enjoy this!

Students will be collaborating by writing on the tabletops, and if they become stuck, they will be able to look at the students work next to them.

This will also allow me to create math stations on the tabletops. Students can move station to station, and because of the dry erase tops will have quicker clean up times, allowing us to get through more stations.
