Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a special education teacher to an amazing group of third and fourth graders all of which have their own unique qualities, talents and strengths. The students in my classroom also have their own unique set of challenges such as learning disabilities, emotional impairments, autism, ADHD, and physical/otherwise health impairment.
I believe EVERY child has the ability to be successful in school, regardless of age, race, ability or disability.
They deserve a classroom that is conducive to their learning needs.
My Project
Please help me give my students Expo dry erase markers, Bic Sparkle mechanical pencils, and various colors of glitter for our classroom. My students use dry erase markers all through out our day to day classroom activities! They practice math problems, spelling words and use daily on their visual schedules. We often use our whiteboards during both whole group and small group. Clearly, we will use these materials often in our classroom!
These dry erase markers would be used to the fullest extent in my classroom!
Mechanical pencils are the most popular reward chosen in my prize boxes. Students spend their weekly points earned by good behavior and hard work on a mechanical pencil from my prize box.
We are running low on a couple of colors of glitter for a holiday craft. Your continued support will allow my students to SPARKLE throughout the year!!
