Help me give my students materials they need to be successful! Each morning during Calendar time we use dry erase markers to practice math facts and sight words. Unfortunately, we are running very low on dry erase markers!

My Students

My students are a wonderful group of diverse first grade students that love learning about the world around them. They are most excited about exploring the farm next door, using technology to dive into new ideas, and participating in engaging science experiments.

My students are ethnically diverse with more than 49% being of Native Hawaiian ancestry.

Our school is a Title I school (at-risk and low-income students) located on the Leeward Coast of Oahu. At our school, 100% of the students receive free breakfast and lunch.

My Project

In our room we use dry erase markers each morning. Each morning during Calendar Time we use dry erase markers to practice math facts and sight words. Unfortunately, we are running very low on markers. Some students are having to wait for others to finish. This is causing a lag in our very full day! We need new dry erase markers in order to be successful in first grade.

Dry erase markers from a store can add up very quickly for a family or teacher. It would be wonderful if these needed materials could be provided for my students so that they are able to review their skills in the morning.
