Help me give my students a rich learning experience catering to their individual needs. These tabletop dry erase boards and dry erase markers will allow me to visually display information during small group sessions.
My students are in need of rich learning experiences that will enhance and build upon their understanding of skills being taught across all academic areas. Most students come from low-income housing and do not have opportunities to support their learning at home or after school hours. Providing them with targeted small group instruction will help ensure that they are getting the most out of each and every learning experience.
My students deserve the best, and I want to give them the best.
These supplies will not just to help my teaching, the children will find it fun and engaging to use the dry erase boards and spots as it is different from writing on paper or in a notebook. My students have a wide range of abilities some with IEP's, some English Language Learners, some high achieving, and everything in between.
My Project
Almost all of my students come from low-income families/housing. They don't always have support at home to help them continue to grow as learners, nor do they take advantage of opportunities to go to the library. These materials will help me support my students by allowing to model my thinking and then having them jot down their thinking on dry erase boards/circle spots. This allows for mistakes to be made and easily erased and fixed which will enrich their learning experience - plus students always find dry erase materials fun!
Through small group work, I will be able to teach my students the individual skills that they need.
Having materials available to help support that is crucial for student understanding and engagement. I will be traveling to three different classrooms this year, so having supplies in each room ready to go will help alleviate having to carry everything from room to room.
