My Students

We have no white boards in our classroom and having them would increase my understanding of where students are at in a fun and quick way so that I can help them with extra instruction as it is needed.

I have a very diverse class this year.

Many students are on different levels of understanding in subjects like Math and Reading Comprehension. These boards would help me to not only help where it is needed, but also challenge those students who already understand the concept being taught and need a challenge.

My Project

With these boards, I will be able to check for understanding by asking a question and having the students answer on their boards. This way, we can avoid yelling out or answering too quickly and ruining think time for others. Everyone processes information and comprehends at a different pace so it is vital that I create a way for students to get the time they need to think for themselves. I will also use these in small groups. If I teach a topic in Math and half of my students get it and half of them don't. I will reteach with these white boards which will also help me to save paper. They love drawing on the white board and this would be a creative and fun way to get everyone involved and actively participating in my classroom.
