My Students

My students are the young, promising, intelligent, and passionate students that will be Chicago's future. They come from all over the city of Chicago and represent a multitude of racial and cultural backgrounds.

What my students have in common is a driving passion to achieve excellence in life and in music.

There is an incredible this energy to this band room and community. These students are unstoppable and these new snare drum stands will hold the snare drums that were donated to our school!

My Project

At my school we have over 320 students involved in band and over 40 are percussionists.

Keeping that many "drummer's" hands busy can be a major challenge, but we recently received a donation of three new snare drums to our program.

These snare drum stands will empower students to use these donated instruments as well as replace one of our older, dilapidated stands.

Students will be able to adjust the stands to their individual heights so that they fit each student perfectly. Now all of my percussionists can be involved and no one needs to sit out while they wait their turn!
