My students are delightful, kind, and curious. Every day, my students walk into music class excited and ready to learn. My student are apart of a MiCi program that is offered through the school district for students who have special needs.
Each child loves to move, groove, and listen to music.
They are very active and love to dance to any song that we sing. My students love to create and listen to all sorts of different styles of music. They are such an incredible group of students who love music and movement.
Unfortunately, my classroom has few instruments and a small budget that will not cover the cost of purchasing these items for movement and instruments. My students will be excited to use these instruments and items for movement.
My Project
The instruments and items for movement such as scarves and a parachute will be a great addition to our music classroom. Using the instruments, students will be able to create music and explore sound.
These instruments will help my students gain skills and not just in the music classroom.
Using instruments will help them build s fine and gross motor skills and functional needs such as multitasking. They love to create their own beats to songs and count to the music they create.
Keeping a steady beat to songs in one of the musical concepts that I use with my students. With the set of drums, my students will be able to experience keeping a steady beat with the drums and to have the opportunity to create their own beats.
The scarves, stretchy band, and parachute will help create movement and keep my students active while we dance and sing to songs.
