This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are the best band students! This year our theme for the year is "Musicians Under Construction" as we build musical leaders one day a time. We are located in the heart of the Piedmont Triad area in a Title I school. Many of our students do not have the resources to provide instruments even though they have the desire to learn. In addition, as our school has grown we have outgrown our current facility and will be finishing this current academic school year in a brand new building.

My students have a love of music, and teaching it to them each day brings me great joy.

It is because of this joy that I am passionate about them having decent equipment to work with each and every day. I do not believe that we can make the magic of music happen in the room without proper working equipment.

My Project

This project is working to help receive new snare drums in the band program. The current status of our equipment is not in the best of conditions. We want our students to learn on the best available equipment possible.

Percussion is the heartbeat of the band program!

Making sure that they have properly working equipment is crucial for the band to succeed in their endeavors. With the percussion section having such a need we are excited to launch this project highlighting our section for greatness. Help us get to that point by sending in your donation today!
