My students are 4th and 5th grade students who did not care about anything or anyone until the drumming club. Most of them don't have anywhere to go after school or are rearing their younger brothers and sisters. They don't have stability or structure so their academics are failing.

Students who have geared their disruptive behavior into learning the fundamentals of African drumming have improved their academics in school.

I need additional drums so that each child will have a chance to practice techniques learned every session. This will keep the students interest and also allow me to tap into their focus/learning abilities so they are successful in school.

You will make it possible for a child to pursue a dream and their culture. Save a child from the violent streets of an low income urban community.
