Drummers Need Drumsticks!

Help me give my students replacement snare drum sticks for the school drumline.

My Project

A few years ago, I was able to begin a drumline program for my students with 8 marching percussion instruments. Since then, and with the support of Donors Choose and donors like you, I have been able to build the program to include instruments for 22 students. I now have several different sections of drumline classes throughout the day who share the the use of these instruments. This is incredible! I have students begging to come in before and after school for extra lessons and practice time. My heart is so full knowing that my students are finding joy in making music.

With the incredible popularity and growth of the drumline program also comes the associated material needs.

Several snare drum sticks need to be replaced. This is compounded this year due to COVID-19 restrictions and students being unable to share drumsticks.

Though performances look different than in years past, students are still performing for the school community with "mini concerts" for smaller audiences being performed live. My heart is so full with the incredible opportunities my students are receiving and the lifelong benefits of being a part of a performing ensemble. Thank you for supporting my students and their future!
