My students are full of life and excitement for music. Our school has many demographics and is full of diversity. Each student at our school comes through the music classroom twice a week and will be enriched by music throughout their entire time in elementary school. I try to incorporate instruments as much as I can to enhance my students learning experiences. My students love to learn new songs, dances, and instruments! We move from risers to the floor to dancing. It is a whirlwind of activity and joy!
My Project
I am so grateful for the generous donations that have supplied us with six new drums for our classroom! We currently have ten drums that we can use in a drum circle! My largest class is twenty-eight students and my goal is to have enough drums for each student to play in a drum circle at the same time by the end of the school year. This project would supply my class with six new tubanos and put us closer to meeting our goal!
