My Students

The students in the music program here are a special bunch. They can be very silly at times but understand when it is time to get work done in a rehearsal. They show genuine interest in music and the arts and want to better understand it. The resources we have in the band program are very limited but we have made due. Regardless of that the students still return and have a great time playing music. They are very deserving of some better resources in the band room.

My Project

We have just added a drum class here at our school and we lack drumsticks and practice pads for the students to use. Without these items, it will be difficult to lead a normal class with them. With these pads and sticks, we can start having group lessons for the students and they will consistently have their own materials to use. Having something the students can call their own is also a great morale booster for these kids. They are very interested in building a drumline and the pads and sticks will be a huge resource for starting this up!
