Drum Circle Seating Makes Our Musical Community Great!
My students need stools to sit on at drums and Orff instruments; plus a stand for my iPad so I can photograph and videotape their performances for student self-reflection.

My Students
Listening to music and playing together, are important parts of the performing arts. Did you know that music stimulates the WHOLE brain? My students come from diverse backgrounds, with many different experiences. Some students benefit from private lessons, but the majority do not have that opportunity. Music becomes a team-building activity for the class and improvising really makes it fun!
Making music our own, creating and improvising, is the goal of this project!
We use songs and instruments to experience music. With the tools to make our Orff instruments accessible in all classes, we can make it more exciting and experience more together.
My Project
Flexible seating in our music room creates the environment for dancing as well as playing drums and Orff instruments. In every thirty minute class, we have the chance to listen to music, play instruments, sing, and dance. We move everything often! Kindergartners to 5th graders will be able to enjoy the small stools that can be easily stacked and moved.
Every class will have optimum access to every instrument with the great stools we will receive.
When we do not need the seating, they will be easily stored on the side of the room.
With an iPad stand our class will be able to record themselves for rehearsals and performances. And we'll be able to self-reflect with these recordings.
