My Students

Our classroom is a safe place for students to come and know that no matter what is going on in their life, it is a place where they will feel welcomed and accepted by everyone. The class is a mix of general education students, special education students, and students in need of Academic Intervention Services (AIS). These students come from a variety of economic backgrounds which means that the students come to us at many different levels. Our classroom design and learning experiences help students develop tolerance for people from all walks of life. Creating a positive and aesthetically pleasing learning environment contributes to the success of our students.

My Project

Students come to us with many different needs. Some of our students currently use noise cancelling headphones to help eliminate distractions. We only have one set of headphones, and are finding that other students want to use this resource, too.

Providing students with resources to help them focus will then help them with their academic achievement.

If we were to have a total of 5 headphones we would be able to provide this resource to all of the students who wish to use them. I have also requested colored printer paper and hanging file folders to be used for a variety of projects throughout the year. Thank you for helping me see my dream become a reality!
