My students need startup equipment for our morning news announcements. Specifically a microphone ( Yeti Blue ) with adapter, a tripod, and adapter to hold our iPad for recording.
Our school is a K-8 charter school in Central Florida. We have the most wonderful, kind, and accepting students and families. Our school staff does everything in our power to meet the social, emotional, and academic needs of our students by teaching the whole child. We have started a video morning news channel developed by our 5th grade students. Our goal, with the new video morning news program, is to strengthen our community and pride within our school, in addition to building better communication and presentation skills.
My Project
Our school has taken the morning announcements to a new level, from over the intercom to video. We are teaching our 5th graders the ins-and-outs of broadcasting.
This is where we need your help, we currently have an iPad for filming but need a microphone and tripod.
Our students are so excited about building the community within our school by getting all students motivated for the school day.
Our goal is to use our morning news announcement to share positive quotes, this day in history, jokes, vocabulary words, and tips from special guests like our school nurse, guidance counselor, and/or principal. Let's help our 5th graders "drop the mic" on our schools morning news.
