Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
All of our students come from neighboring streets within the sunny side area of Wichita Falls. All of our students come from homes where the parents work hard to provide for their students' needs. Sometimes families have to choose to pay bills and not be able to provide food, and clothing to the family members. That is where you come in. We can all work together to provide necessities to all of our families. They ALL deserve respect, love, and support.
My Project
With additional laundry "drop and go" sorters and shelves in designated hallways, students are able to return to class without missing essential lessons. All of the laundry sorters and shelves will effectively be used to limit time away from the classroom. Students will have access to a "drop and go" laundry sorter where they can discreetly deposit items that need to be washed. Students will be able to drop items in the labeled, appropriate sorter. The shelves will allow for clothes to be return ed to the drop off location so that students can retrieve them, fresh, clean, and folded.
