This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

One of the coolest things to do in our Computer Science class is work with programmable devices such as robots, and in this case, drones. Drones are very popular, but most people just do manual control. But not in our class, we fly them by programming the commands.

Flying drones in the classroom can be quite challenging.

Safety is very important, so having protective cages for our drones makes is a better flying environment for both the students, and the drones. Our other big issue is power. These drones have a flight time of around 7 minutes, so we do have to keep changing batteries so all of our students can fly. That is the purpose of this request. We are looking to increase our flying time abilities, and keep our students safe when we fly.
