My Students

I teach Kindergarten in Mississippi. Our school consists of students from a variety of economic and ethnic backgrounds that come together every day to learn and grow, with majority of the students at my school participating in a free lunch plan.

In my classroom, all of my students are eager to learn and excited to show their peers and teachers their achievements.

Being a Kindergarten teacher, all of my students come in at a wide range of ability levels. These different ability levels require various teaching materials, methods, and multiple picture displays and manipulatives to ensure understanding.

My Project

In Kindergarten, we are learning a new set of skills each day in both English Language Arts and Math, with additional Science and Social Studies units as well. My students have a wide range in their abilities.

To better drive instruction that is differentiated to meet every childs needs, I use resources from several other teachers through the purchases of Teacher Pay Teacher activities and lessons.

These activities combine unit themes, holidays, and skills all into one fun and engaging independent center for my students to learn. Teacher Pay Teacher provides so many things in my classroom from the cute newsletter every week to the assessments I administer to gather more data to find the appropriate activity for my students to strive.
