My Students

I teach in a Title I school, located in a small rural town in South Carolina, where a large percentage of our students live in families with incomes below the federal poverty threshold.

This unfortunately means that many of our students will face various challenges throughout their lives.

Many have adult responsibilities when they go home. I am working on providing a comfortable, safe, engaging, and meaningful learning environment that will allow them a worry free time and be successful learners!

My Project

Our current dry eraser board is broken and most of our dry eraser pens have dried up. We use these dry eraser pens and pockets during our literature lessons. They make it so easy for my students to highligh unfamiluar vocabulary words during their reading. We use them again during our math lessons. These tools allow us worksheets over and over saving copy cost and paper.

But, most of all the children LOVE using them.

They get tired of writing with a pencil and these simple dry eraser pens make them feel grown-up and keep the so much more engaged in learning.
