My Students
Our diverse students have many obstacles that get into their way of being successful. Most of our students come from low-income areas, and physical activity is the most effective way of guidance towards a positive life. These kids work hard. My students have been working past post Hurricane Harvey, and are now pursuing the chance to experience outlets to live's challenges. Positive outlets to these daily challenges that inner-city students go through are critical in the mental health to the majority of students.
We must provide equipment that is vital for giving our students the healthy positive outlets needed to give students a mental break from the true anguish felt by many students daily.
Students have daily lives that many couldn't imagine, but with outlets, our students can overlook the negatives, and focus on dreams. Many of our students come from broken families, which entail true distractions to an adolescent's self-esteem growth. There is no doubt that with quality sports equipment these students can get equal opportunity as students from more stable households.
My Project
Coming into a New Year, it's important to not let the heartaches of the year before ruin the start of a new year to come! The basketball equipment, weighted basketball, basketball pump, and game basketballs give these students the feeling of not being left behind. The need for quality equipment, especially basketball is vital for the students having their own outlet. Basketball being a well-loved sport at our school, we want to be able to give the opportunity to escape the daily anguish, by providing quality learning tools. The new equipment and quality basketballs give young minds a sense of pride, and can overlook troubling times to escape into positive vibes!
