Help me give my students blazers for the Student Leadership Team. These students wear the blazers on Leadership day and Honors Day to welcome visitors, speak to parents, and teach the community about the Leader In Me process.
My students have been chosen to be on the Student Lighthouse Team. 85% of these students receive free or reduced lunches. There is little or no parent involvement.
My students are role models that teach the students, visitors, and community about the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
These students are from 3rd through 5th grades that have completed applications and interviewed for this leadership role. Duties include speaking at school events, greeting visitors, and teaching the Leader In Me process.
My Project
Help my students dress for success by providing blazers to wear during leadership events. Our school is a Leader In Me and Title I school. 85% of my students receive free or reduced-price lunches. There are only a handful of parents that I hear from or see on a regular basis. These blazers will help The Student Lighthouse Team dress for success. The Lighthouse consists of 3rd through 5th grade students that meet together to help make important student leadership decisions about our school. They make motivational videos, greet visitors, speak at events, and teach the community about the Leader In Me process by using the 7 Habits for Highly Effective People.
Students are taking ownership for their actions, developing the mindsets, behaviors, and skills to be effective lifelong leaders.
With your generosity, these students will dress for success and by example, they will exhibit the leadership skills to empower the school and community to be lifelong learners.
