My students need outfits for cheer camp. The middle school cheerleaders will also wear these for cheer practice throughout the summer and after school.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our middle school cheerleaders are excellent students on and off the sidelines and need a little help gaining the resources that they need to go to cheer camp this summer.
Our middle school cheerleaders are more than just student-athletes, they are also ambassadors on our campus.
Our cheerleaders are mentors to our 5th graders as well. With the help of Donors Choose, we are hoping to fund an outfit for cheer camp this summer, as well as an outfit for cheer practice for the upcoming school year.
My Project
This summer, our middle school cheer squad will be attending cheer camp for the first time. We are currently fundraising to pay for the trip, but we are finding it difficult to get funds to pay for the attire.
Since it's a two-day camp, our cheerleaders will wear their uniform on the final day but will need an outfit for the first day.
If you have ever been to a cheer camp, you would know that the cheer teams come in matching "camp attire".
This small action boosts self-confidence and enhances the cheerleaders' bonding experience at camp. These outfits will also be used for cheer practice during the summer and throughout the school year.
