My Project

I am in my sixth year as the STEM teacher at our school for all students from K-5th grade. Our school provides free meals to all of our students. These children in my classroom are at many different intellectual and ability levels ranging from gifted to special needs. Some of our students are classified as homeless, some have language challenges due to being ELL, and some children are in foster placement. We have many military families since our school is less than a mile from a military base.

I want to make sure that all of our students are given positive experiences and opportunities in my STEM classroom that will help them realize their potential and prepare them for the future they deserve.

I have been wanting to try to write a project for this amazing construction set for months. This Lakeshore Jumbo Simple Machine Builders set has huge pieces for students of all ages to create many types of functional machines. They can explore concepts in motion and gravity. The best part is that no tools are needed. These large boards have predrilled holes for the nuts and bolts.

Please consider a donation of any size to help us get this funded. I know hundreds of young students who will be jumping for joy to see this construction set arrive in our STEM classroom.
