My elementary class consist of 8 very active boys who are eager to learn and just like every other kid in this modern time, love technology. They have been in classes together for many years so they are great friends with one another who support each other and pick each other up when they are down. Discussions are rich and their insight is extraordinary on worldly topics.
We have a classroom newspaper that we are starting up and need tech for it.
My Project
The iPads will help supplement the learning that goes on in the classroom. Some of the students have struggle reading or writing out words and the iPad has assistive technology that can allow them to do some activities independently which fosters their confidence. There are many fun apps that are educationally based that they can utilize during centers. They can also learn to use the internet to search information for research based projects which is essential for the middle school environment they will be entering next year.
Having iPads as a part of their daily class interaction will get them well versed in this part of 21st century living.
