My Students
I teach kindergarten in a Title 1 School. I have students from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds, many of whom do not have the resources to purchase learning tools and books in their homes. My students need opportunities to engage in hands-on learning in my classroom. Research has shown that students grow in their oral language, problem solving and cognitive development when they engage in purposeful play. I am passionate about providing engaging opportunities for all students to learn!
My Project
My students need hands-on learning tools in our kindergarten classroom! These sets of Magnatiles are versatile, textile building pieces that students can use to create and imagine. These tools will help promote oral language, problem-solving, visualization and cooperative play in the classroom. Students can also use these Magnatiles as part of their creative writing. They can write stories about their creations. Your contributions to this project will have lasting impacts as they are very high quality and will last many years.
