Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are hard-working students whose families care a lot about their success. In my school, almost every student qualifies for free or reduced lunch. Over 90 percent are Hispanic, and many of them will be the first person in their family to graduate from college.
This computer will open the door to their success to keep them learning during their high school journey.
Let us think of education as the means of developing our greatest abilities because in each of us there is a private hope and dream which, fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength for our nation.
My Project
My senior IB student is a hard-working student whose family cares a lot about her success. In my school, almost every student qualifies for free or reduced cost lunch. Over 90 percent are Hispanic, and many of them will be the first person in their family to graduate from college. My IB student will work remotely and engage in group activities to promote critical thinking, exert creativity, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively to succeed in a 21st-century world.
This iPad will also support the skills that are important to prepare our students for the 21st Century workforce and beyond.
