My students are creative, curious, and above all... are ready for the future! They have connected with many classrooms from around the world and are empathetic to some of the world's problems that still need to be solved. Our most recent connection was with a classroom in Puerto Rico, and they heard first-hand about the devastation and destruction caused by Hurricane Maria.
My students are creative and critical thinkers and not only think outside the box, but they are willing to change the box!
This year, students use our new Innovation Lab to build and design prototypes. They are encouraged to think like real engineers, innovators, and makers and use the design process to guide them.
My Project
Students begin to learn about coding and how learning to code can affect the world around them. By learning more about coding, they see how those devices they use everyday work and how they can improve the life of others as well as themselves. The littleBits Code Kits will not only help students expand their knowledge of coding but gives students a hands-on approach to learning.
And what I most like about the Code Kits is that learning is fun, and what is a better way to engage students and have fun... that would be designing games!
The littleBits kits give students four examples of building and coding different games. I can't wait to see what my students dream up!
