My Students

My 4th grade students, like so many students across the country, haven't been inside an actual physical classroom since mid-March. They are resilient though, and eager, excited, and ready to learn this fall!

Our school district has decided to start the school year virtually, and so my students may struggle to be as engaged as they typically are in the classroom.

My Project

Have you ever tried to draw on a PowerPoint, using a laptop trackpad, while teaching math to elementary-aged students? Let me tell you, it makes for lots of laughs. Inevitably, straight lines become slanted, and the numbers you are trying to write are completely illegible. It takes up lots of time - time that loses student engagement.

With a drawing tablet, I will be able to actually draw on a slide presentation and clearly explain math concepts!

It will save time, elevate student attention, and just make teaching math easier!

Another part of this project is a quality headset - so that I can hear students clearly, and they can hear me!
