Mr. Tolbert from Detroit MI is requesting supplies through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need paper for drawing: white construction paper, manila drawing paper, and multicultural color paper.

Our art classroom needs good paper for drawing and painting. It is sad that in this day the most basic supply is hard to come by in my school.
My school is a 90 year old building in an urban public school district.
With a large Hispanic population, most of my students come from homes where Spanish is mostly spoken. My students love the visual world of art where language is not an issue. Our students have won many awards for the art work they produced.
In the past the good people of DonorsChoose.org have supplied my class with construction paper. Now we need a noncolor paper to create art. At one time I could rely on getting two things for my class, crayons and drawing paper. Now with cuts in funding, my classroom does not even get that basic of supplies. We used to be supplied with wonderful manila paper great for drawing and sometimes painting. Now we get little or nothing for art supplies. From kindergarten to fifth grade, we use a lot of paper in the art room. Unfortunately we no longer get even these basic art materials. My students need paper for drawing: white construction paper, manila drawing paper, and multicultural color paper.
Without your help, this very important resource will not be available to my students.
My students will continue to learn about the many areas of art and how artists can create art with many medias. Like many teachers I have spent my own money to have just enough supplies for my classroom. Your donation to my art classroom will give my students enough of this very basic supply.
