My Students

Our students like to get messy with charcoal drawing sticks and colored chalk in drawing class!

Our students come from rural backgrounds.

They are varied in their socioeconomic status, but don't let that keep them from having goals and ambition. Some students don't really get involved in sports and love having art class as an option. They also love going to our yearly competition and representing the school with their art!

My Project

Students will be required to use charcoal and chalk to create drawings throughout the year. The paper we are requesting will go a long way when I cut it into smaller increments. One of the major projects the will use the charcoal on is doing a high contrast figure drawing.

Students who can benefit from additional resources, like the charcoal and the chalk, will be able to express their art in a gestural medium.

The paper will allow a nice surface for students to create all of their amazing ideas on!
