My Students
During these times, we as teachers all miss our students and I know our students miss us.
Students are learning through packets and I am working online with videos to teach them, but I know not all of them are able to access the videos. Many of my students come from low- socioeconomic households.
My students are still eager to learn, but at times struggle due to lack of resources at home. They are using the packets, books they have at home, and whatever resources they have there.
My Project
During this time, most of our students are spending so much of their time in front of computers, tablets or working in packets. They are completing assignments at home in the same four walls without any socialization with classmates. I want to provide them with an opportunity to become creative while at home, along with taking a mental break. The "how to draw" books, drawing pads, pencils and crayons will provide students a unique way to have a break during these times.
These drawing and reading materials will provide a mental break students need during these difficult times. Also, provide them a new book they can read at home. Students need a chance to take a break from their "new" everyday routine and these materials will provide a different way to take this break.
