Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My fourth graders are a joyous group of eager learners ready to share their experiences, big or small. They are explorers and are excited to learn and share with each other anything and everything.
Nearly all students are from low-income households, but that doesn't stop their passion to learn and be creative.
My boys at the moment are outnumbered my girls, and all my students are very active. After PE and recess, usually after playing a competitive game of soccer with the rest of fourth grade, everyone is ready to rest and get back into the classroom to work hard and learn.
My Project
My student's learning styles vary across the board, using white boards and manipulative can make a great stride in their student learning particularly with math. The whiteboards we have is an incomplete class set with a lot of the boards stained from the use they get. The grid composition books will be a great way to help in keeping students organized, fractions proportioned, and students numbers aligned.
By donating to this project you can help motivate my students to show and share what they are learning in whole group and small group instruction by using these materials.
They love to be able to write on white boards and it will be a great way to motivate them to show their work using the grid lines in the composition books.
The grid paper will also benefit those students that have a hard time staying organized in other subjects particularly in science as they take many notes and draw out diagrams to show what they are studying.
