This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is comprised of four art studio centers (build, craft, paint, and draw) where students can explore art and self expression through a variety of mediums.

My students are creative, energetic, daring and driven.

They are quick to try new things and love exploring the many faucets of art. I am impressed by their ability to think outside the box and problem solve. In the art classroom they use critical thinking skills to connect themes and their artwork.

My Project

Students will be able to choose their own studio to work in every two weeks, where they will plan and develop artwork related to a theme. The building blocks are needed in our 3D build studio center and the sketchbooks will be part of our drawing studio center.

The materials requested will help to encourage students critical thinking through connecting art materials to a theme.

They will allow students to have a wider variety of choices and promote investment in art.
