My Transitional Kindergarten and kindergarten students are curious about the world around them and learn best through experiences with materials such as blocks and other open-ended imaginative materials. Their favorite dramatic toys are the realistic animals and they love working together as a class to create huge zoos and enjoy holding them, acting out stories with them and creating fun scenes using the animals as characters.
The addition of these animals to our classroom block center will enable the children to work as a whole class to create amazing animal stories.
