Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is full of special thinkers who are artists, storybook fanatics, scientists, mathematicians, ABC lovers, and so much more! My Special Education class is truly an amazing group of students who LOVE learning so much! I can't wait to fill my classroom with new learning materials like exciting books and educational teaching tools to continue capturing their minds and also open the door to learning new things in a variety of exciting ways! I can't wait to continue to develop and grow my students love learning, and also provide them with some great ways to learn new academic skills!
My Project
I teach a pre-k/ Kindergarten special education class. This project included dress up clothes for community helps that my student may encounter in their community. This includes doctors, fireman, mailman, etc. This would be a great way to teach my students about these different community members. It will also provide them with exciting ways to practice and use their very big imaginations! My students have different disabilities, and all struggle with imaginary play. By providing them with these realistic costumes they will be able to explore and learn using their imaginations! I look forward to seeing their happy faces when this project is funded!
