My Students

My students are young, curious, and full of energy. They thrive with hands on learning in a positive and enriching environment. Every student has their own unique personality and truly make every day an exciting adventure when working with them.

The school I work in is a special school in a low income neighborhood, Many families of my students have limited resources available to them and are unable to donate to the classroom.

Every child in my classroom comes in excited to learn and interact with their peers. While many of my students learn in different ways we individualize our instruction in a variety of ways to ensure that their needs are being met in a way that is engaging and interesting to them.

My Project

Cars and a car garage are some of the must used materials in my classroom. So much so that they are starting to fall apart. Our current car garage is over 10 years old and is constantly breaking. These dramatic play tools are great for new students and is often the first toy many of my students learn to functionally play with.

We are always in need of more cars and the design your own car toy means we can create cars that are especially appealing to shy students.

This will also allow our more creative and artistic students to design a car and explore a area of the classroom they normally ignore.
